Hackberry Lake Off-Highway Vehicle Use Area

Adventure awaits at the 55,000-acre Hackberry OHV Recreation Area northeast of Carlsbad. 100 miles of off-highway vehicle trails wind through diverse landscapes that make for thrilling riding experiences. The main area hosts a campground, picnic area, and restroom. Further northeast finds 255 acres of shifting sand dunes, offering many terrain options and challenges for everyone.
