Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument

Visit the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument and explore a piece of history of the Mogollon culture. Over 700 years ago, the Mogollon people built impressive cliff dwellings in the shelter of natural caves of the Upper Gila River. Established as a National Monument in 1907, the dwellings are protected so you can discover this impressive archeological site and walk in the footsteps of the Mogollon people. The monument is open most days of the year and entrance is free. Opening hours vary.
