Petroglyph National Monument

Petroglyph National Monument in Albuquerque protects one of the largest petroglyph sites in North America. The images carved into stone by Ancestral Puebloans and Spanish settlers are 400 to 700 years old. These petroglyphs keep a valuable record of cultural expression and hold spiritual significance for Native American peoples. You must drive to a trailhead then hike to the petroglyphs and all trails are a 1 - 12-mile drive from the information center. Come explore these ancient cultural sites!
