Clayton Lake State Park & Dinosaur Trackways

Set among the rolling grasslands of northeastern New Mexico, Clayton Lake State Park & Dinosaur Trackways offers many recreational opportunities including fishing, camping, hiking and birdwatching. In addition, the park features some of the best-preserved dinosaur tracks in the world! Designated as a Dark Sky Park, it is an ideal spot for skywatching and star parties. Clayton Lake State Park is approximately 12 miles northwest of the town of Clayton on NM–370.
